Ignacio Sandoval

20+ years turning complex problems into elegant solutions | From Mazatlán 🏖️ | Based in Atlanta

I’m a Software Engineer at Deloitte leading technical direction for Georgia’s health and human services portals—systems that millions of citizens use to access benefits. My work spans architecture, security remediation, accessibility advocacy, and production support.

Over 20 years, I’ve built Latin America’s first electronic notification system, led initiatives resolving 1000+ security vulnerabilities, championed WCAG 2.2 adoption, and taught computer science courses. I believe strongly that every legacy system deserves respect, accessibility is a feature not a checkbox, and simple systems scale better than clever ones.

Originally from Mazatlán, Mexico. Black belt in karate. Guitar player. According to my son, officially a “Computer Master.”
